Ginger acquires the British company Yotta Surveying Limited
Ginger announces the acquisition of the British leader in road infrastructure engineering, Yotta Surveying Limited, which will take the name of Ginger LEHMANN Ltd.
Yotta Surveying Limid is based near Birmingham and operates throughout the UK. Its activities are concentrated on road and infrastructure condition surveying with map tracking. With this method, Yotta Surveying Limited supplies predictive studies for planning and estimating work for all road networks. The company makes a turnover of 7 million euros and employs 60 employees.
After the acquisition of Ginger LEHMANN+PARTNER in Germany and in Poland in 2017, Ginger Group reinforces its expertise in infrastructure engineering with high-level new technical skills and extend its international network across the Channel. Rename Yotta Surveying Limited in Ginger LEHMANN Ltd shows an ambition to create a major Pan-European player in road and infrastructure maintenance, including France. The combination of innovative on-vehicle sensors and the intelligent road data processing is a strong development in the business for which Ginger wants to be spearhead in Europe.
With this transaction, Ginger Group is pursuing its internationalization strategy around prescription engineering and is nearing its goal of reaching € 200 million turnover by 2020 (compared to € 110 million in 2015).
“I am proud of what we have achieved in our surveying business, however, Ginger, with their extensive resources and expertise, will be able to provide further growth, innovation and quality to ensure that our customers are kept at the forefront of development within the sector. The team in the UK have proven over many years that they bring enviable expertise to their roles and we are looking forward to welcoming them to the Ginger family”. Nick Smee, Yotta’s CEO
“We are delighted about Yotta Surveying’s integration in the group. The company has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality services to the UK. This is another step in our internationalization around infrastructure engineering in the European landscape. With Ginger LEHMANN+PARTNER in Poland and Germany, and now Ginger LEHMANN Ltd in the UK, we benefit a growing network and complementary skills to provide an unmatched service.” Philippe Margarit, Ginger’s President
