Ginger signs up to a joint venture in China
At the head office of its BURGEAP subsidiary on Thursday 18 October, the Ginger Group welcomed the Chinese delegation from the Government of Jiangsu, a district in the city of Yangzhou, accompanied by the General Management team of the Jing De Environmental Group, a company specialising in environmental engineering.
At the end of the visit, they signed off on a joint venture between Jing De Environmental Group and Ginger, a leading environmental engineering consultancy in France. The aim of this partnership will be to meet governmental requirements for cleaning up polluted sites and soils in the Jiangsu region. This meeting further cements Ginger’s internationalisation strategy, after opening a subsidiary in China in late 2017 and acquiring the English company Ginger LEHMANN UK.
“The creation of this joint venture is not just a cooperation but a real partnership. We are keen to turn our old industrial sites into development areas for our city. Cleaning up these sites is a great opportunity for Ginger and Jing De Environmental,” declared Deyin Yang, Deputy for the Jiangsu region, a district of Yangzhou.
“Being there for the city and industry, from diagnostics to full site clean-up, will be the priority for our new joint company,” explained David Tao, Jing DE CEO, and Michèle CYNA, BURGEAP CEO.
“We are honoured by this bond formed between our two companies and by the trust placed in us by the city of Yangzhou. We are committed to making this partnership a success that promotes an eco-friendly conversion of these former industrial sites,” said Philippe Margarit, Ginger’s Chairman.
