Ginger acquires the Sogéo Expert geotechnical engineering company
Ginger acquired Sogéo Expert, a geotechnical engineering company. This transaction enables the company to consolidate its status as the French leader in geotechnical studies by enhancing its services to the real estate and insurance industries in Western France.
Founded in 1984, Sogéo Expert is a geotechnical engineering office specialised in the fields of construction and civil engineering. The company provides services to all entities and organisations involved in construction, including developers, architects, town halls, experts, companies, and even private individuals.
With 26 employees and revenue of €3.5 million, Sogéo Expert, based in Jaunay-Marigny (86), will be integrated as a subsidiary of Ginger CEBTP forming a new facility in Poitiers. It operates a site equipped with five drilling workshops and a soil mechanics analysis laboratory.
This acquisition should enable Sogéo Expert to improve its range of geotechnical services aimed at the real estate and insurance industries. This includes, in particular, issues related to clay swelling claims, where Sogéo Expert has a strong track record.
After Hydrosol Foundations at the end of last year, Schniering Gmbh and Conseils & Environnement in May-June 2021, this is Ginger’s fourth acquisition in less than a year. These transactions are in line with the Group’s growth strategy while complementing its multi-disciplinary expertise.
