Ginger acquires Fugro France’s LSC (Land Site Characterisation) activity

Elancourt – 1st September 2022, Ginger acquires Fugro France’s LSC (Land Site Characterisation) activity that groups together land-focused geohazard and geotechnical consulting activities as well as geophysical studies. This acquisition is fully in line with Ginger’s strategy for strong, long-term engineering and technical expertise development. Thanks to their acknowledged expertise, these teams boost CEBTP’s core business line and, at the same time, pave the way for new opportunities in France and across the globe.

The LSC activity totals over 50 employees and is divided into 3 sectors. A geophysical engineering team located in Bourget-du-Lac (73) that delivers state-of-the-art land-based geophysical services in France and around the globe (Africa, Middle East, Europe). A specialist geotechnical engineering team that mainly works on elaborate foundation engineering and geotechnical engineering projects in the field of infrastructure and civil engineering construction. It was actively involved in most of Paris, La Défense skyscrapers. Finally, a team specializing in geological and seismic risk that provides first-class expertise to highly-demanding customers such as the nuclear industry and to Governments around the globe for large-scale natural hazard mapping.

In addition to a shared culture driven by their desire to supply reliable, high-quality expertise and by their passion for high technicity, the two companies have had the opportunity to work together for several years now. This acquisition enables Ginger to diversify its skills around its core geoscience business thanks to cutting-edge know-how that is already internationally-focused. Through this acquisition, Ginger becomes the greatest independent geotechnical engineering player with over 50 highly-experienced engineers.
We’re delighted that Fugro chose Ginger CEBTP, where their employees can continue to develop their expertise in a stimulating environment. It’s an incredible bonus for the Ginger Group to be able to count on Fugro France LSC teams’ skills“, Philippe Rabut, General Manager of Ginger Holding.

This acquisition is the sixth for Ginger in less than two years, on the heels of Hydrosol Fondations, Schniering Gmbh, Conseils Environnement, Sogéo Expert and Environnement Investigations. These transactions are in line with the Group’s expansion strategy while at the same time complementing its multi-disciplinary expertise.
