On 31 July 2025, Ginger acquired SYNACOUSTIQUE, an acoustic engineering firm specialised in building and environmental acoustics, and the vibro-acoustic monitoring of construction sites.
The company, headquartered in Bordeaux with an office in Paris, currently benefits from the expertise of its technical team of acoustic engineers and operates nationwide. For more than 25 years, it has combined scientific precision, technological innovation and its understanding of urban environments to make sound an integral part of the collective well-being. Through its SYNBOX® system, it transforms
construction sites, buildings and living spaces into areas where sound levels are monitored and optimised in accordance with standards and environmental considerations.
SYNACOUSTIQUE has around 600 clients and is involved in iconic construction projects such as the Grand Paris Express underground lines, providing vibro-acoustic monitoring of construction sites (via SYNBOX®) to reduce noise pollution and keep residents informed, and the renovation of the large passenger hall at the Paris-Austerlitz railway station. As a PMC, it supports local authorities in the acoustic design of performance venues. One such example was its collaboration with the Bordeaux Métropole intermunicipal cooperation on the Arkéa Arena, aimed at determining which project offered the best acoustics. Research and development are also at the core of its operations, shaping its approach to the urban and architectural sound environment.
This acquisition strengthens the acoustic engineering development strategy of Ginger CEBPT – an already established market leader with its acoustic laboratory, "CREA" (Centre for Research and Studies in Acoustics). The laboratory is certified by the French Accreditation Committee (COFRAC) for acoustic testing on construction products and systems. This move also aligns with the current monitoring activities being conducted across various subsidiaries within the Group aimed at developing a range of multi-parameter instrumentation and monitoring services for large-scale civil engineering projects.
"The entire SYNACOUSTIQUE team is excited to join the Ginger Group and create synergies between our various centres of excellence in instrumentation and acoustic engineering," said Didier Blanchard, founding Chairman of SYNACOUSTIQUE.
"We are delighted to welcome the SYNACOUSTIQUE team, which will help us make significant progress in the field of acoustic engineering by bringing extensive skills based on practical experience and cutting-edge technological expertise," said Philippe Rabut, Managing Director of the Ginger Group.
