_Reinforcing the positive impact of the Group's businesses on the environment
of the Group’s turnover has a positive impact on the environment
Ginger's core business supports sustainable development in the broadest sense of the term (the environment, climate, durability of structure and public health). While the Ginger Group's activities have a positive impact by their very nature, improvements in the state of knowledge force us to constantly question ourselves.
_Ginger in support of sustainable development
Ginger provides its clients with environmental and construction consulting services, helping them to:
- Reduce their energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions,
- Clean up soil pollution, thereby reducing the impact on health,
- Re-naturalise watercourses and develop biodiversity,
- Limit pollutant emissions from industrial processes,
- Limit noise in buildings,
- Sustainably manage waste by maximising recycling, re-use and, where waste is stored, environmental protection (circular economy),
- Promote the best materials while limiting the use of raw materials in civil engineering works,
- Increase the lifespan of structures and buildings, thereby avoiding the expense and environmental impacts of premature renewal.
In order to continually improve the quality of its services, the Group invests in relevant and innovative R&D across all of its businesses. Ginger's multidisciplinary business approach enables the Group to identify the overlapping impacts between its areas of expertise.

_Some of the Ginger Group’s contributions through its consulting work/expertise
-
Pollution
Ginger BURGEAP's core business is soil remediation. Most site and soil remediation projects involve former industrial wastelands that are rehabilitated for real estate projects. This activity includes numerous projects on the “Grand Paris Express” infrastructure and the sites of the 2024 Olympic Games.
-
Climate change
The Ginger Group's business is directly linked to the challenges posed by climate change. The Ginger Group makes its greatest contribution to adaptation and mitigation policies by helping manufacturers reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, helping local governments implement renewable energy development policies, and helping developers ensure the sustainability of new buildings and structures.
-
Circular economy
Reducing the supply of raw materials, re-use and recycling are among the main themes of the circular economy approach. Ginger seeks to promote circular economy approaches for its clients. Specific multidisciplinary committees examine new integrated services that mobilise all the skills present within the Group.
-
Protecting biodiversity
Ginger plays an active role in improving scientific knowledge of biodiversity and ecosystems. The impact studies conducted by the Group's experts for new development projects contribute to the preservation of biodiversity.
