_Corporate and environmental responsibility

Ginger's commitment to social and environmental responsibility and ethics applies to all our businesses and entities in France and abroad and is based on three pillars.

1 – Balancing corporate economics, employee involvement and well-being in the workplace

These commitments include a remuneration policy that includes employee share ownership, gender equality, employment of disabled workers, training, etc., all of which the Group is striving to improve. In the same vein, Ginger continues to work with an unwavering commitment to the safety of its employees and those present at its sites.

2 - Consolidating the Group's positive impact on the environment

Through its environmental and construction consulting services, Ginger helps its clients to:
•    Reduce their energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
•    Remediate soil pollution, thereby reducing the impact on health.
•    Re-naturalise watercourses to enhance biodiversity.
•    Limit pollutant emissions in industry.
•    Limit noise in buildings.
•    Sustainably manage waste by maximising recycling, re-use and environmental protection during storage.
•    Promote the best materials while limiting the use of raw materials in civil engineering works.
•    Increase the lifespan of structures and buildings, thereby avoiding the expense and environmental impact of premature renewals.

Ginger's operations have a low environmental impact. The Group's business is essentially based on consulting services that generate little or no pollution, consume little energy and raw materials, and generate very little waste. Whether for its clients or internally, Ginger seeks to promote the implementation of circular economy approaches. Ginger's responsible purchasing policy is strong and well thought out. A charter defines the fundamental principles of responsible purchasing that Ginger applies and expects its suppliers and subcontractors to respect.

Ginger has signed the Engineering for the Climate Charter drawn up by Syntec-Ingénierie. This charter commits its signatories to concrete, ambitious actions at all levels: soft mobility, multimodal infrastructures and autonomous buildings are just a few examples. Protecting the environment and the climate have become major concerns for the general public and businesses alike. This is the reason why Ginger wants to lend its support and commitment to this charter.

In 2021, Ginger drew up its first carbon footprint for the entire Group (metropolitan France). This report covers the consumption for which the company is directly responsible, as well as that induced by its activities. Based on this assessment, Ginger has defined a path for reducing its greenhouse gas emissions and an action plan based on the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) methodology for implementing the Paris Agreement.

3 - Contributing to the development of society, both in terms of innovation and more generally in the development of professions.

As a leading engineering company in the fields of construction, development and sustainable development, our Group plays an important role in the development of techniques and professions. In the short term, the Group's social impact and the involvement of its employees are strengthened by volunteer work and corporate philanthropy, in particular through the creation of an endowment fund.

Our commitment to corporate social responsibility is based on three pillars:

•    Balancing corporate economics, employee involvement and well-being in the workplace.
•    Consolidating the positive impact of our businesses on the environment.
•    Contributing to the development of society.

_The Group's contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals

These commitments were laid out as 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 17 SDGs represent the roadmap towards a sustainable planet and society. Through its various subsidiaries, the Ginger Group contributes to achieving several SDGs. The SDGs provide companies with a framework for analysing the global impact of their activities.
