Xavier LANNUZEL

"Ginger INTERNATIONAL’s mission is to support ministries of health, public health providers and international funding agencies in the implementation of their policies and projects. The strength of our organisation lies in the people who work within it With the support of CONSEIL SANTÉ, we can rely on an experienced and multi-disciplinary team (doctors, pharmacists, economists, etc.) able to respond to the specific needs of our clients and provide them with support, while drawing on a global network of decision-makers and high-level officials in more than 100 emerging countries. PROMEKIN

Ginger INTERNATIONAL is implementing the second phase of the Mother and Child Project in Kinshasa (DR Congo), which has a budget of 17 million Euros (funded by the French Development Agency) and will run for 4 years. The aim of this project is to improve the health of the population, especially women, mothers and children, in disadvantaged urban areas on the outskirts of Kinshasa, particularly in the Kingasani and Binza Météo health zones. Find out more about how we are supporting these 2 maternity units.

COVAX

Project management assistance for the implementation of the RIMDIR (energy component) and MOUDOUN rural electrification project in Mauritania

Bringing electricity to a number of rural areas in south-eastern Mauritania that are not included in the plans to extend the national grid. The project aims to provide sustainable support for economic growth and the development of agro-pastoral activities in villages located in the wilayas of Hodh el Gharbi and Hodh ech Chargui, on the border with Mali. A total of seven priority areas have been proposed in the feasibility study. Funding for the seven priority areas will be used to connect approximately 14,000 households (or 100,000 people) in nearly 60 villages with more than 500 inhabitants, increasing the electricity connection rate in the project area from 13% to 57%.

Technical assistance for the SUNREF programme in Madagascar

The general objectives of the French Development Agency’s action through the SUNREF programme in Madagascar are to combat climate change, improve access to resources and energy, develop and promote the country's energy transition and protect the environment.
These objectives are divided into two main sub-objectives specific to SUNREF-type programmes:

  • Encouraging the emergence of a green finance offer from local banks
  • Supporting private companies in setting up renewable energy, energy efficiency and environmental protection projects, while encouraging the emergence of a context conducive to the development of the targeted sectors (renewable energy, energy efficiency and the environment).

Verifying data and using PRSSE performance-based financing and independent external verification as part of SPARK-Santé

The Independent External Verification Agency (IEVA) carries out an in-depth verification of compliance with procedures at all levels of the performance-based financing (PBF) implementation system, from the central level down to the community level. It is carried out on a sample of operational entities involved in the implementation of PBF: central level delivery units (National PBF Technical Unit), regional and departmental health directorates, district hospitals, health centres (urban and rural) and beneficiaries (patients) at community level. From 2022, the IEVA will also provide ongoing technical assistance to the National PBF Technical Unit to ensure the transition of the PBF from the pilot regions to the national level (scaling up) and the internalisation of the PBF verification functions at the national level.
