Ginger LBTPG provides support for all issues relating to soils (geotechnical engineering), construction materials, and existing buildings and structures. Our agency is staffed by qualified engineers and has the expertise to manage your projects with maximum responsiveness. Whatever your needs, Ginger LBTP can handle a wide range of projects, combining its experience in the field with its expertise in structures and prescriptive engineering.
Ginger BURGEAP in French Guiana, a specialist in environmental engineering, assists its clients in all issues relating to soil engineering (contaminated sites and soils), water, air, waste and energy engineering, as well as regulatory aspects (impact studies, Water Act dossiers, Installations Classified for the Protection of the Environment, etc.). Created in 2021, the agency is growing rapidly and is involved in the development of energy transition policies and strategies for the region, public inter-communal cooperation establishments and local authorities, support for the wood and biomass industry, sustainable mobility issues and regulatory aspects, serving an area where environmental challenges are particularly significant and where consultation plays a key role.

The Larivot Bridge

As part of the construction of the Larivot Bridge over the Cayenne River, Ginger LBTP G carried out investigations on the river bank and in the river itself between 1971 and 1972. An independent inspection was also carried out during the construction phase.
The Larivot Bridge spans the Cayenne River over a total length of 1,200m. It was built to replace ferry transport along the RN1 route. This large girder bridge links the communes of Matoury and Macouria.
Works to build a second bridge began in 2023 and are scheduled for completion sometime in 2024. Ginger LBTP G has also been involved in this project, carrying out investigations of the river bank and an external inspection in 2021.

The Balata Interchange

As part of the construction of the Balata Interchange, Ginger LBTP G carried out a design study for the two associated roundabouts on behalf of the DEAL (Regional Directorate for Environment, Planning and Housing) in 2011/2012. We continued to provide support during the construction phase with independent inspections, materials testing for the contractors and the installation and monitoring of backfill instrumentation for the contractor.
This interchange, together with two roundabouts, will improve access to the Balata sector. This interchange is part of a project to relieve traffic congestion in the Cayenne/Collery/Matoury area, alongside the Maringoins roundabout, the Balata Progt road and the doubling of the Larivot bridge.

New buildings for the CTG

As part of the project to expand the premises of the Collectivité Territoriale de Guyane (CTG), in 2019, Ginger LBTP G conducted a design study for 3 new buildings on behalf of the CTG. We were also involved in the construction phase, providing geotechnical supervision for the project management team.
These 3 new buildings are intended to create an administrative complex, bringing together the main administrative departments and staff of the local authority on a single site.

Creation and development of the Guiana Space Centre

Since its creation, Ginger LBTP G has been involved in the development of the Guiana Space Centre through design studies and laboratory/on-site inspections. In 2021, design studies were carried out for the defence towers of the new ARIANE 6 launch pad.
The Guiana Space Centre is the European spaceport located in the communes of KOUROU and SINNAMARY. It covers an area of 700 km2.
