Elancourt – 22nd October 2025, Ginger acquires GEOTEC SpA, headquartered in Campobasso, in the Molise region of Italy, a specialist in deep geotechnics and geophysics. By integrating this company, Ginger strengthens its presence in Italy, where it was already established in the environmental sector. Ginger continues to grow as a leading European player in the environmental, infrastructure and soil engineering sectors.
GEOTEC SpA is an Italian company with highly technical expertise in geophysical and geotechnical investigations and deep drilling (beyond 1,000 meters) for civil engineering, infrastructure, mining and energy sectors. Active for over 35 years, its headquarters are located in Campobasso, in the Molise region. It has multidisciplinary teams—geologists, geotechnical engineers, seismic specialists, drillers, surveyors —and owns a large fleet of machines and equipment, enabling it to cover the entire value chain, from field data collection to analysis and modelling.
The company offers comprehensive services: directional core drilling, deep core drilling, geotechnical surveys, seismic investigations, topographic surveys, structural and geological monitoring. GEOTEC SpA also operates in difficult environments which enhances its added value in complex projects where logistics are critical.
This technical expertise enables it to take on some major projects among the largest on the planet. Its recent references include participation in the feasibility study for the Einstein Telescope in Europe and the FCC (Future Circular Collider) project for CERN in Geneva, the Brenner Tunnel between Italy and Austria monitoring mission and geothermal studies for Enel Green Power in Lardarello, Tuscany.
This acquisition is part of Ginger Group's international development strategy. It strengthens the group's expertise in the field of geotechnics, improving its technical capabilities to take on major projects in the field of underground infrastructure (railway tunnels, roads, hydraulic structures, etc.), civil engineering (bridges, deep foundations, dams, large structures), renewable energy (geothermal energy, heat capture drilling, seismic studies for wind farms or volcanoes).
In the words of Philippe Rabut, Managing Director of Ginger Group: “I am delighted that a team of the quality of the one of GEOTEC SpA is joining the Ginger group. With this input, we are moving forward with our goal of internationalizing our activities. GEOTEC SpA's influence, that extends well beyond Italy's borders, will bring us new opportunities for development. We are thus continuing our strategy for increasing our technical expertise that has built the reputation of our group.”
In the words of Luigi Di Marzo, CEO of GEOTEC SpA: “At GEOTEC SpA, we are incredibly proud that a group like Ginger has recognized our technical capabilities and reliability. We are confident that this new partnership will provide access to new markets that would have otherwise been unavailable to us.
