Ginger Group acquires German HPC Group, a leading European player in Environmental Engineering
Ginger Group, the French leader in independent and committed engineering, acquired HPC AG, headquartered in Harburg (Swabia), Germany, a major player in environmental engineering with a presence in several European countries. With the integration of a group of more than 800 employees and a turnover of more than 100 million euros, Ginger's turnover will soon exceed 500 million euros, consolidating its position as a European leader in environmental and infrastructure engineering.
Founded in 1948, HPC is one of Europe's leading environmental engineering companies. It operates in nine European countries and has a leading position in Germany and Italy. HPC relies on a network of 50 local offices to be close to its clients, which include industrial companies, public authorities and infrastructure operators.
HPC offers a wide range of services in the areas of land recycling, environmental consulting and infrastructure planning including geotechnical and civil engineering, urban water and ground water management, renewable energy as well as sustainability.
HPC is also a founding member of the international INOGEN network, which provides global environmental compliance services to investors.
This acquisition is in line with Ginger Group's international expansion strategy, following its entry into North America last month with the acquisition of Groupe ABS in Canada. It represents an important milestone in Ginger's growth, with consolidated sales of 500 million euros and more than 50% of its business now generated outside France.
Ginger Group, already the leader in environmental engineering in France through its subsidiary Ginger BURGEAP, is now reinforcing its position as a major European player with HPC's leadership in Germany and Italy. This expansion ensures its presence in the three largest markets in the European Union.
In the words of Philippe Margarit, Chairman of the Ginger Group: "We can be proud of this new international dimension for Ginger. It opens up significant new opportunities, particularly through technical and commercial synergies. These opportunities will benefit all our employees, both at HPC and Ginger, by fostering technical excellence and geographical expansion."
In the words of Thomas Osberghaus, Chairman of HPC AG together with his colleague Arno Bartels: “Ginger convinced us because we complement each other perfectly in terms of clients and expertise. We already were able to create a trustful partnership. The personal cooperation is very promising."
