Ginger signs Syntec-Ingénierie's new engineering charter for the climate and biodiversity
In response to concerns over climate change, Syntec-Ingénierie organised its action in 2019 by creating an engineering charter for the climate. In September 2024, Syntec-Ingénierie revised this charter to include the challenges of preserving and restoring biodiversity. Ginger, a member of Syntec-Ingénierie, was already a signatory in 2019 and is now pursuing its commitment to the climate and the preservation and restoration of biodiversity by signing the new charter.
The Engineering Charter for the Climate and Biodiversity proposes a three-pronged approach:
- Taking concrete action to protect the climate and biodiversity through the projects entrusted to us
- Setting the example with our own activities
- Supporting employee commitment to the climate and biodiversity through training and awareness-raising.
This charter requires its signatories to take concrete, ambitious action at all levels. Through its activities, Ginger works to develop sustainable cities, as well as eco-responsible infrastructure and industries in France and abroad. Whether it involves contaminated sites and soils, managing water, energy or natural resources, preserving biodiversity, studying natural and flood hazards, reusing waste through the circular economy, or extending the lifespan of structures and buildings, the Ginger group is a driving force in improving the environment and ensuring more sustainable construction. At present, 80% of the Group's activities have a positive impact on the environment. In addition to its commitment to clients, Ginger is strengthening ties with its 2,800 employees by defining a structured and ambitious CSR policy.
